Universal Cut-in Sealing Rings
Cut-in rings, also known as onion seals or universal sealing rings, are concentrically cut sealing rings, hose rings and moulded parts whose inner diameter can be removed step by step as required, by hand or with a knife. A single ring therefore covers several cable diameters and clamping ranges (PG to DIN 46320, metric, imperial or customer-specific).

Cut-in rings, a SIEGEL development
Cut-in ring, cut-in sealing ring, cut-in seal, universal cut-in ring or onion seal: all of these names refer to the same concentrically cut sealing ring that we have been manufacturing ourselves for decades.
Developed by Richard Siegel, our cut-in rings allow a single sealing ring to be used in several ways for cable glands and bushings. Only one ring has to be produced, and it is cost-effectively provided with additional diameters that can be removed, compared with the more expensive alternative of producing each diameter range separately by extrusion.
Our cut-in rings are made using a special process that ensures flexible and universal sealing. Whether you need standard sizes to PG (DIN 46320), metric sizes or tailor-made solutions, we have the right cut-in rings for your requirements.
From small dimensions up to large sizes of approx. 200 mm outer diameter, we process sealing rings, hose rings and also moulded articles with various diameters that can easily be removed with a knife or by hand. Available in various grades and colours, e.g. NR/SBR, NBR, CR, EPDM, CR/NBR as well as silicone and Viton. Also available with a colour marking on the outer diameter.
