Overview

NK / NR in use

Natural rubber (NK/NR) is often supplied as an NR/SBR blend by adding styrene butadiene rubber. This gives the material outstanding abrasion resistance, very good mechanical properties and robust wear resistance for demanding applications.

Its good suitability for filling applications in the food industry and its ability to withstand dynamic loads make NK/NR a versatile base elastomer.

Properties

Properties of NK / NR

  • Very good abrasion resistance
  • Very good wear resistance
  • Very good mechanical properties
  • Ideal for dynamic applications
  • Ideal for filling applications in the food industry
  • Not recommended for contact with chemical substances
  • Not recommended for direct UV or ozone exposure
  • Temperature resistant, as a rule, from -30 °C to +80 °C
