Extrusion process

Extrusion is particularly suitable for producing profiles, hoses, hose rings and round cords from all common elastomers. In this process, a screw in the extruder conveys the material through a shaping disc, the die, to give profiles and hoses the required shape or diameter.

Extrusion offers versatile geometries, diameters and designs, supplied by the metre in bundles or wound on reels, or cut to hose sections or hose rings to your specifications.

For drinking water applications we extrude hose rings, hose sections, round cords and profiles from compounds with KTW-BWGL certificate or conformity, for example EPDM blue. An overview is given under drinking water.

Extrusion is particularly advantageous for producing long, uniformly shaped hoses, profiles and round cords that are cut to size or supplied in bundles or on reels. The flexibility of the process allows a wide range of profiles for different applications, for example in window and door construction, the automotive industry, general transport or hose manufacturing.

By precisely setting the extrusion parameters on the extruder, we manufacture a variety of products to the tolerances generally customary for this manufacturing method according to DIN 3302-1.
