Self-Adhesive Films for Rubber Sheets
Self-adhesive rubber sheets are easy to fit and highly adaptable for industrial applications. We laminate a range of rubber sheets with a single-sided self-adhesive film that serves primarily as a fitting aid. Depending on the application and requirements, we can offer different adhesives and carrier materials.
Properties of self-adhesive films
Our high-quality self-adhesive films offer numerous advantages:
-
Thin adhesive layer in the µ range, protected by a yellow or white release paper (liner)
-
Different adhesive strengths and peel strengths for different applications
-
Available with a reinforcing scrim to withstand pressure or prevent tearing
-
Adhesive and carrier material adapted to the required temperature, chemical or weather resistance
-
Optional pull tab for easy removal of the release paper
Customised self-adhesive films
We offer tailored solutions for a variety of applications:
-
High temperatures: special adhesives for extreme temperature ranges
-
Contact with oil & grease: resistant films for industrial applications
-
Chemical resistance: adhesive films for acids and alkalis
-
Moisture & UV resistance: weatherproof versions for outdoor use
Special considerations for cellular rubber with self-adhesive film
For self-adhesive cellular rubber seals, please note these important storage instructions:
-
Shrinkage can occur at higher temperatures (e.g. in summer)
-
The adhesive layer may crack or smear
-
Ideal: store in a cool, dark and dry place
Conclusion: the right self-adhesive film for your application
Self-adhesive films make rubber sheets easier to fit and provide reliable adhesion for many industrial applications. By choosing the right adhesive and carrier material, we ensure that your seals perform optimally even under difficult conditions.
