With thicker materials in particular, the punched contour turns out very concave. That is why we produce such contours by water jet cutting with tight tolerances. Depending on the material and the dimensions of the parts to be cut, we have various machines with up to 125 hp at our disposal.
Compared with punching, this also allows large-volume seals and blanks to be produced. In both processes, cutting speed is decisive for cut quality: the faster the water jet is guided, the more pronounced the score marks. For a clean, fine cut quality, we reduce the speed accordingly.
Whether prototypes, one-off parts, small series or series production, this process offers a wide range of possibilities.
We also water-jet cut sheet material listed under the KTW-BWGL for drinking water applications, for example for large flat seals. More under drinking water.
