APTK
APTK is another name for EPDM that was often used in the past. EPDM is an elastomer known for its excellent and versatile properties in sealing technology.

High temperature resistance: APTK can be used over a wide temperature range. Two different types of crosslinking are distinguished here:

Sulphur-cured (standard): temperature-resistant up to approx. 100 °C

Peroxide-cured: temperature-resistant up to approx. +150 °C

Good chemical resistance: the material shows good resistance to various chemicals, which makes it ideal for use in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries.

UV and ozone resistance: APTK is particularly resistant to UV radiation and ozone, which allows it to be used outdoors, even under extreme weather conditions.

Flexibility and elasticity: APTK is available in various Shore hardnesses and is elastic and flexible, which enables reliable sealing and damping in a wide range of applications.

Automotive industry: APTK is often used in seals, flat seals, moulded articles, sealing rings, O-rings, hoses and various damping elements to ensure high performance and reliability.

Mechanical engineering: in various machine components, APTK provides effective sealing and protects against wear and weathering.

Construction industry: APTK is also used in the construction industry, particularly for sealing windows and doors as profiles in a wide variety of geometries or as weatherproof sheeting.

Durability: thanks to its chemical and physical resistance, APTK offers a long service life and so reduces the need for replacement.

Versatility: APTK can be used in a wide range of applications, which simplifies product development and material selection.
